Welcome to Rede. By using the platform you’re agreeing to these terms. They’re written in plain language; if anything is unclear, email us.
1. Who we are
Rede is operated by Ooboogoo Inc. (“Rede”, “we”, “us”). We provide a multi- tenant platform for podcasts, shows, and the people who appear on them. When we say “the platform” or “the Service” below, we mean rede.fm, isrede.com, and every *.isrede.com tenant subdomain.
2. Your account
You need a Rede account to do most things on the platform. Authentication is handled by Clerk. One credential covers every role you have on the network — host, guest, asker, platform admin. You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account; keep your credentials safe.
You may have at most one Rede Identity (your portable professional profile) per account. You may be a member of multiple tenants. The platform doesn’t allow account sharing, and we reserve the right to deactivate accounts we believe are being shared.
3. Who owns what
3.1 Your content
You own what you create. Your Identity profile is yours. The Q&A, articles, and pages a tenant operator authors belong to that tenant. The content guests submit is theirs.
By posting content to the platform you grant Rede a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host it, display it, index it, deliver it to the people you direct it to (your audience, your subscribers, your invitees), and — where you marked the content public — surface it across the network (citations, public search, RSS). This license is what makes the platform work; it ends when you delete the content or your account.
3.2 Our content
The Rede brand, platform code, design, documentation, and platform-authored content (this page, the apex marketing pages) are ours. You can’t copy them wholesale, but you can talk about us, link to us, and screenshot us for legitimate purposes.
4. Public and private records
Every record on Rede carries a sharing scope. When you mark a record public, you’re telling us — and the rest of the network — that it’s OK to display it broadly, let other shows cite it, and index it for search. When you mark a record private, it stays inside the authoring tenant.
We act on those scopes. We will not display private records publicly, and we will not retroactively make a public record private without your action. If you change a record from public to private, citations to it from other tenants will be deactivated within 24 hours by an automated job.
5. What you can’t do
Rede is for hosting shows and the people who appear on them. It’s not for everything. You may not use the platform to:
- Post content that’s illegal where it’s published — child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, content that violates intellectual property law, etc.
- Harass, dox, or stalk other users.
- Impersonate other people without their permission.
- Submit programmatic or bulk content designed to game the public-search surface or the citation graph.
- Scrape the platform or its tenant subdomains beyond what public robots.txt permits.
- Probe, scan, or attack the platform’s infrastructure.
- Misuse any export or download feature to redistribute other tenants’ private records.
- Resell the Rede platform itself (you can use it to operate your own business; you can’t whitelabel it without a white-label plan).
6. Content moderation
We scan submitted content for two narrow categories that have no legitimate place on the platform: child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and credible threats of imminent violence. Confirmed matches are reported to the appropriate authority (NCMEC for CSAM; relevant law enforcement for credible threats) per the doctrine published in our privacy page.
Outside those two categories, Rede does not operate as a content moderator. We don’t rank, recommend, or suppress content based on its viewpoint. Tenant operators are responsible for what goes out under their show name; if we’re notified of legally infringing content (DMCA, a court order, etc.) we act on the notice.
7. Plans and payment
Some platform features (white-label, higher rate limits, additional briefing refreshes) are gated to paid plans. Plan pricing and the features each plan includes are documented in your tenant dashboard. Plans renew on the billing cycle you selected; you can cancel any time from your billing settings. We don’t pro-rate refunds for partial periods unless local law requires it.
8. Termination
You can close your account any time by emailing us. Your portable Identity is deleted; tenant records you authored belong to the tenant and remain unless the tenant owner deletes them.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, expose the platform to legal liability, or operate in bad faith. When we terminate an account we’ll explain why unless doing so would compromise an active investigation or violate a legal obligation.
9. Liability
The platform is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running, but we don’t guarantee uptime, zero bugs, or that any specific feature will exist forever. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD if you paid us nothing.
Nothing in this section limits liability that can’t be limited by law (gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, personal-injury claims, etc.).
10. Disputes
We’d rather work things out by email than in court. If you have a complaint, email us first; we read every one. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, disputes are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and resolved in its courts — unless local consumer- protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a non- waivable right to litigate elsewhere.
11. Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page when the platform’s operation changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current revision. Material changes will be announced via email to active accounts. Continued use of the platform after a material change means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
Questions, complaints, DMCA notices, legal process — all the same address: hello@isrede.fm.
